U.S. Army Soldiers, assigned to 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, conduct an aerial insertion along with Customs and Border Protection near Fort Huachuca, Ariz., on June 15, 2025. This enables the Department of Defense and Customs and Border Protection to coordinate more effectively and secure operations along critical areas of interest. Under the direction of the U.S. Northern Command, Joint Task Force–Southern Border aligns efforts to seal the southern border and repel illegal activity and is responsible for full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations, which will allow for more effective and efficient DoD operations.
