A U.S. Border Patrol agent briefs U.S. Army Sgt. Kenohe Leonor and Spc. Israel Arreguin, both assigned to 759th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, assigned to Joint Task Force–Southern Border before executing a detection and monitoring patrol in Yuma, Ariz., on June 12, 2025. U.S. Soldiers conduct patrols with U.S. Border Patrol agents to detect suspicious activity, enhancing situational awareness and supporting the mission to achieve operational control of the southern border. Under the direction of the U.S. Northern Command, Joint Task Force–Southern Border aligns efforts to seal the southern border and repel illegal activity and is responsible for full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations, which will allow for more effective and efficient DoD operations.
