Munson Army Health Center Command Team Col. Jolanda L.J. Walker and Sgt. Maj. Jason Trevino joined U.S. Army Combined Arms Center Commanding General Lt. Gen. Milford Beagle Jr. and other leaders and community members in welcoming Kansas Governor Laura Kelly to Fort Leavenworth in honor of the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday celebration, June 13.
Munson serves active-duty service members, retirees, and their families with primary care, specialty services, and health promotion programs. It is a crucial part of the Fort Leavenworth community, drawing its federal workforce from Kansas and nearby Missouri communities to support the "Intellectual Center of the Army" in its mission of developing leaders across the force.
Munson, named in honor of Brig. Gen. Edward Lyman Munson, carries on his legacy of dedicated service to the post. The center also provides essential medical readiness processing for active duty, reserve, and National Guard units in the surrounding area.
