Midshipman 3rd Class Jordan Snyder from Belair, Md., attaches a signal flag to be hoisted up during a flag hoisting drill aboard amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5). Midshipmen are embarked aboard Peleliu as part of the pacific training for midshipmen where they experience shipboard life prior to graduating. Peleliu is the flagship for the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group and is underway conducting pre-deployment training with USS Rushmore (LSD 47) and USS Green Bay (LPD 20).
