Col. Christopher J. Mahoney, commanding officer of Marine Aircraft Group 12, looks at a painting from Takashi Shima, a local Japanese artist, aboard Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, April 19, 2013. During the visit, Shima thanked Mahoney for the opportunity to present his painting in person and to see it hang on the wall inside of a Marine Corps building.
