Alexander Mamikonian, Commodore of Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 60, speaks to sailors aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79) after the ship returned to Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota, Spain after patrol, Jun. 10, 2025. Mamikonian also presented the Sailors with the Combat Action Ribbon. Oscar Austin completed its first patrol in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. 6th Fleet to defend U.S., Allied, and partner interests in the region.
