U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Vincent Schneider, a motor vehicle operator with 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines forward deployed with 4th Marine Regiment, 3d Marine Division as part of the Unit Deployment Program, guides a joint light tactical vehicle from an Improved Navy Lighterage System onto shore during Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore training with the Republic of Korea Navy during Korea Viper 25.4 at Republic of Korea Marine Corps Base Pohang, South Korea, June 3, 2025. The instream offload, a training evolution alongside the ROK Navy, refines and validates 3d Marine Division’s and ROK Navy’s ability to transport, offload and distribute vehicles and equipment from ship to shore. This type of sealift capability allows the unit to maneuver equipment in austere environments without using established infrastructure. Korea Viper is a recurring exercise series that demonstrates the Republic of Korea and U.S. Marine Corps' ability to respond decisively in the region as a singular, unified force while strengthening relationships and trust between the two allies. Schneider is a native of California. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Tucker Mocan)
