GREAT LAKES, Illinois (May 30, 2025) Recruits assigned to recruit training division 254, sponsored by Naval Station Great Lakes, and recruit training division 253, participate in the confidence chamber training event at Recruit Training Command. Recruit division sponsorship develops a special bond between recruit divisions and military or civilian organizations. Mentorship and direct contact from the sponsors enhance basic training and provide a unique learning experience for Recruits and sponsoring groups.
