Sgt. 1 Class Vetoun Khy (front) and Sgt. 1 Class Nicholas Hawley (back), assigned to the Army Reserve Careers Counselor Group, fire the M240B machine gun event from the tactical firing position during the 2025 Combined Best Squad Competition (CBSC) at Fort Knox, Ky., on May 7, 2025. The M240B machine gun event at the CBSC consists of two Soldiers; one fires, and the other assists with ammunition, barrel changes, and spotting targets to ensure sustained, effective operation.
