U.S. Air Force Col. Brandon Tellez, 1st Fighter Wing commander, is saluted by the crew chiefs and avionics Airmen assigned to the 94th Fighter Generation Squadron, prior to his final flight as the commander of the 1st Fighter Wing at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, June 4, 2025. Tellez has amassed over 2,500 hours of flying time to include over 300 combat hours and four flying tours. A graduate of the United States Air Force Weapons School, Tellez oversaw 1,700 personnel, two airfields, two groups, and 11 squadrons, including two F-22 fighter squadrons, the F-22 formal training unit, and a T-38 fighter training squadron.
