U.S. Marines and Sailors with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 364, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, conduct a memorial run to commemorate the three-year anniversary of Swift 11 during KAMANDAG 9 in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines, June 8, 2025. On June 8, 2022, five Marines with VMM-364 lost their lives during a training mission in Southern California and the run served as a way to continue the legacy of U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Nicholas Losapio, Capt. John Sax, Cpl. Nathan Carlson, Cpl. Seth Rasmuson and Lance Cpl. Evan Strickland. KAMANDAG is an annual Philippine Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps-led exercise aimed at enhancing the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ defense and humanitarian capabilities by providing valuable training in combined operations with foreign militaries in the advancement of a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.
