    388th Fighter Wing

Tech. Sgt. Daniel Hayter, test cell NCOIC, controls and monitors a test as afterburner blasts from a General Electric F110 jet engine, used to power an F-16 Fighting Falcon, during an engine test run at a "hush house" on Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The 388th Maintenance Squadron's Propulsion Flight is a supporting unit for F-16 squadrons around the world. The 388th Fighter Wing said goodbye to the F-16 in 2016 and transitioned to the F-35 Lightning II, but the engine maintenance mission remains. The propulsion flight receives and overhauls 20-30 engines per year. (U.S. Air Force photo by Micah Garbarino)
