A C-17 Globemaster III from the Tennessee Air National Guard 164th Airlift Wing lands on the airfield at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., May 14, 2025. The aircraft was used in support of Vigilant Guard, an annual disaster response exercise. Arnold AFB was involved in the portion of Vigilant Guard 2025 focused on airfield management and fuel transfer missions. Guardsmen from the Tennessee National Guard and the North Dakota National Guard were on hand at Arnold to perform the exercise. Arnold AFB Fire and Emergency Services crews supported the effort by maintaining a presence during the arrival and departure of aircraft and throughout the refueling. Arnold crews also received hands on familiarization with the MQ-9 from Guardsmen present. (U.S. Air Force photo by Keith Thornburgh)
