Briahnee Coulanges shares her essay on how the military has affected her life as the daughter of a U.S. Army Soldier during the Month of the Military Child proclamation signing at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., April 4, 2025. Coulanges has been selected to represent the JB MDL McGuire Youth Center as she competes for the national Military Youth of the Year. April is the Month of the Military Child, dedicated to recognizing the daily sacrifices and the challenges they overcome allowing service members to accomplish the DoD mission around the world.
