Georges Strachan-Heyes, a historian with the Normandy Institute, provides an overview of D-Day for approximately 30 Soldiers assigned to the 29th Infantry Division June 3, 2025, at Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. The presentation focused on the heroic efforts of 29th ID Soldiers on D-Day, June 6, 1944. More than 600 U.S. service members, including those from the 29th ID, are in Normandy to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the D-Day landings.
