U.S. Army Spc. Micah Ault, assigned to the Caisson Detachment, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), tacks up a caisson horse for a full honors military funeral, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va., June 2, 2025. Soldiers assigned to the Caisson Detachment arrived hours before the mission to tack the horses and ensure their uniforms were within standard. This mission marked the inaugural ride of the Caisson Detachment's limited reintegration into funeral services at Arlington National Cemetery, following a two-year halt of operations to modernize the Caisson Detachment's facilities, equipment, personnel, and horses.
