U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 3rd class Kyle Scott with 1st Battalion, 10th Marines, 2nd Marine Division, utilizes Battlefield Assisted Trauma Distributed Observation Kit to track patient vitals sent via Bluetooth from STRETCH on a simulated casualty during the Technology Operational Experimentation Event 25.1 at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, May 10, 2025. STRETCH is a stretchable electronic patch that captures and tracks a casualty's vital logs data for either later offloading or real-time data streaming via Bluetooth. Office of Naval Research Global Experimentation and Analysis, partnered with Marine Corp Warfighting Lab, planned and executed the event focused on evaluating emerging technologies to enhance battlefield medical response, improve the speed and effectiveness of tactical combat casualty care, and increase survivability in austere environments.
