"Clearly, no one understands the meaning of memorial day more than (Soldiers)," said Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond, the commanding general of Multi-National Division – Baghdad and the 4th Infantry Division. "We see it; we feel it, and our generation have lived it," added the native of Hattiesburg, Miss., as he addressed his fellow Soldiers during a Memorial Day ceremony held in front of the MND-B headquarters building May 26. The ceremony was held to honor the fallen heroes of the U.S. military and the 75 MND-B service members who have paid the ultimate sacrifice since the 4th Infantry Division arrived in December 2007.
