Yorktown, Va. (May 31, 2025) AWR2 Caleb Lutz, assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron Seven Two (HSM-72) embraces a loved one after disembarking the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64). The cruiser, homeported in Norfolk, Virginia and her crew returned to Naval Weapons Station Yorktown’s R-3 weapons pier to off load weapons following a nearly nine month deployment to the U.S. European and Central Command Areas of Responsibility. During that deployment, Gettysburg and her crew served as the Air and Missile Defense Commander for the Harry S. Truman Strike Group. (U.S. Navy Photo by Max Lonzanida/Released).
