U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 3rd Air Expeditionary Wing arrive at a remote location in Alaska for Exercise TROPIC TUNDRA, May 30. This exercise is designed to test JBER’s mission readiness and hone Airmen’s skills and techniques in a mock expeditionary environment in preparation for Exercise Resolute Force Pacific. Airmen assigned to the 673d Air Base Wing and 3rd Wing came together to form the 3rd AEW during Exercise TROPIC TUNDRA, testing and training their ability to receive and launch F-22 Raptor aircraft in austere locations and execute Agile Combat Employment techniques.
