SOUTH CHINA SEA (May 12, 2025) Electronics Technician 2nd Class Haoyu Zhao from New York, New York, translates incoming bridge to bridge voice communications in the pilot house of the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65), while Benfold conducts routine operations in the South China Sea. Benfold is forward deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s Largest DESRON and U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
