Incoming company commander, Cpt. Isaac U. Valdez, assigned to the Army Reserve Careers Group, returned the colors to 1st Sgt. Brett Andress during the Headquarters Headquarters Company commander Change of Command ceremony at the MacDonald Elementary School, Fort Knox, Ky., on March 19, 2025. During the Change of Command ceremony, the outgoing commander passed the guidon to symbolize the transfer of authority and responsibility. This act marked a formal and public acknowledgment of the new leadership taking charge of the unit.
