U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Nathaniel R. Elmer, a native of Texas and a rifleman with 3d Littoral Combat Team, 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division, aims at a target with a M3E1 Multi-Role Anti-Armor Anti-Personnel Weapon System prior to conducting a high explosive battle drill in support of Exercise KAMANDAG 9 at Colonel Ernesto Rabina Air Base, Philippines, May 22, 2025. During the high explosive battle drill, the Marines employed the M3E1 Multi-Role Anti-Armor Anti-Personnel Weapon System, the Anti-Tank 4 Weapon System, the M72 Light Anti-Tank Weapon System and the M2 .50 caliber machine gun. KAMANDAG is an annual Philippine Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps-led exercise aimed at enhancing the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ defense and humanitarian capabilities by providing valuable training in combined operations with foreign militaries in the advancement of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
