U.S. Soldiers assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 759th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, assigned to Joint Task Force–Southern Border, coordinate with Border Patrol agents during a patrol of the southern barrier in Yuma, Ariz., May 21, 2025. Daily patrols support coordinated efforts between Border Patrol agents and the 759th Military Police Battalion to detect suspicious activity along the barrier and ensure border security. Under the direction of the U.S. Northern Command, Joint Task Force–Southern Border aligns efforts to seal the southern border and repel illegal activity and is responsible for full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations, which will allow for more effective and efficient DoD operations.
