Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune honored patients who are survivors of traumatic injuries on May 21, 2025. The third Wednesday in May is known as National Trauma Survivors Day. As a member of the Trauma Survivors Network, NMCCL invited trauma patients to return and walk one mile together with staff in honor of their journeys. In the past year alone, NMCCL has cared for or assisted in the aid of more than 1,700 trauma patients throughout Eastern North Carolina. NMCCL is a Level III trauma center serving both warfighters, their families, and the local community.
