A U.S. Marines Corps CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Rein.), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, flies into position to drop Marines into the water during a helocast at Kin Blue Training Area, Okinawa, Japan, May 21, 2025. The purpose of a helocast is to enhance airborne techniques and enables Marines to insert personnel into a body of water from an aircraft. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, and provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide-range of military operations across the Indo-Pacific region.
