JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii — U.S. Navy divers, assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit One, use lift bags to lower a 16,000-pound anchor block into Pearl Harbor, May 20. The divers ultimately lowered five anchor blocks around the perimeter of the USS Arizona Memorial as a precautionary measure and in preparation for the upcoming removal of two mooring platforms constructed on the hull of the sunken battleship during salvage operations after the 1941 attack.
