U.S. Air Force airmen assigned with the 129th Rescue Wing, California Air National Guard, refueled an HC-130J using a Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) in Basco, Philippines, May 1, 2025. The 129th Rescue Wing integrated with U.S. Marines to facilitate operations, distributing 5K pounds of fuel to sustain expeditionary maneuver elements. The mission culminated by leading Basic Post-Flight/Pre-Flight inspections alongside a 7-Member Marine Corps team, ensuring aircraft airworthiness and mission continuity in contested logistics environment.
Balikatan, translates to “shoulder to shoulder”, is a longstanding annual exercise between the armed forces of the Philippines and the U.S. military designed to strengthen our ironclad alliance, improve our capable combined force and demonstrate our commitment to regional security and stability.
