Jason Darby, an MV-22B Osprey crew chief assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 266 Reinforced, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), unchains his aircraft from the flight deck of the USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), at sea, March 18, 2013. The 26th MEU is deploying to the 5th and 6th Fleets area of operations. The 26th MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force.
