SEMBACH, Germany – Members of U.S. Army Medical Readiness Command, Europe staff and other Army theater medical assets take part in the United States Army Europe and Africa hosted DEFENDER 25 Command Post Exercise recently. The overall DEFENDER 25 exercise is taking place across the Black Sea and Balkan region throughout the month of May and early June. DEFENDER 25 is the largest annual U.S. Army deployment into the European Theater consisting of approximately 25,000 U.S Allied and Partner service members, 29 Allied and partner nations, 18 host nations, 14 different aerial ports of embarkation in the U.S., movement of 3,000 pieces of equipment and more than 5,000 U.S. based troops processed into the European Theater.
