PACIFIC OCEAN (April 12, 2025) –Sailors participate in a crossing the line ceremony aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Chosin (CG 65), April 12, 2025. The ceremony is a naval tradition which recognizes when members of the crew cross the equator for the first time. U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet is the maritime component of U.S. Southern command and the trusted maritime partner for Caribbean, Central and South American maritime forces, leading to improved unity, security and stability.
