Lance Cpl. Cody Hill, a radio operator serving with Echo Battery, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, gives fire commands to Marine mortarmen on the gun line. Hill, a 22-year-old-native of Brockport, N.Y., is a part of the fire direction control center where he relays coordinates to the mortar teams allowing them to fire accurately at their targets.
