U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jose Hernandez-Sanchez, a radio operator with Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, loads a MRZR all-terrain vehicle into a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Rein) during vehicle on and off drills training as part of MEU Exercise at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, May 6, 2025. The purpose of vehicle on and off drills training familiarizes Marines to efficiently deploy and evacuate tactical vehicles using different aircraft. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide-range of military operations across the Indo-Pacific region.
