Mathew Ramirez, an Apache armament/electrical/avionics systems repairer assigned to Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division, performs a 500-hour phase maintenance on an AH-64 Apache helicopter in Poland, April 28, 2025. Members of the 1st Land Forces Aviation Brigade from the Polish Armed Forces observed the maintenance procedures as part of the Polish Apache Initiative, which provides a three-phased approach to familiarize Polish personnel with AH-64 systems ahead of Poland's integration of 96 Apache helicopters into their fleet.
