Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Commanding Officer, CAPT Luis “Rick” Rivera, celebrated 2 employees on Friday 2 May 2025 by awarding them the coveted Golden Wrench Award. Ms. Reina Valdez is an FRCSW Administrative Services Officer who’s initiative, diligence, drive, and dedication to duty were demonstrated as she managed mission-essential taskings, worked across departmental lines to drive multiple high-profile recruitments and end-of-fiscal-year purchases.
Mr. Christopher Nette is an FRCSW Public Affairs Specialist who’s outstanding support for the Backbone of Readiness Communication Plan that was rolled out across the enterprise recently was acknowledged. Mr. Nette took the lead on creation of an “aircraft and component video” that follows several components through processing then spliced and edited the recordings to show the amazing work done at the facility.
These 2 outstanding Americans have shown the lethality delivered by FRCSW personnel on a daily basis. Their dedication to aviation maintenance excellence and to our nation’s warfighters makes them most deserving of this Golden Wrench Award.
