ATLANTIC OCEAN (May 1, 2025) — An MV-22B Osprey assigned to the U.S. Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261, or VMM-261 (REIN) “Raging Bulls” takes off from the flight deck of the Harpers Ferry-class amphibious dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) during Exercise Chesapeake 2025. Exercise Chesapeake 2025 is a bilateral U.S.–French naval exercise in the U.S. 2nd Fleet area of operations that underscores the commitment to interoperability, maritime readiness, and shared values. The exercise is taking place as the U.S. Navy is celebrating 250 years of warfighting excellence and securing peace and stability alongside the French Navy, setting the scene for joint amphibious operations with the U.S. Marine Corps.
