U.S. State Department Chargé d’Affairs Nancy VanHorn visited U.S. Army
Soldiers from the New Jersey and New York National Guard and the
Albanian Armed Forces during a Field Training Exercise in Rreth-Greth,
Albania on April 23, 2025. The training event was designed to test the
tactical and leadership skills of the Officer Candidates from both the
respective states’ Officer Candidate Schools alongside cadets
attending the Albanian Armed Forces Military Academy. The New Jersey
National Guard and the Albanian Armed Forces have shared a partnership
in the U.S. Department of Defense State Partnership Program for more
than 20 years.
