Another member of Scott Moore’s Family who served during World War II was Tech. Sgt. Thomas McIver, who was killed in action near Paris on Aug. 29, 1944, during the Battle of Vexin, an intense ten-day battle which claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people including U.S. fores, German troops and French civilians. Thomas McIver and his cousin Staff Sgt. Oscar McIver, are both buried at Epinal American Cemetery in France. (Photo courtesy of https://www.uswarmemorials.org)
