ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 30, 2025) MH-60s assigned to a detachment from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28 conduct operations on the flight deck of the French the amphibious helicopter carrier Mistral (L9013). Exercise Chesapeake 2025 is a bilateral U.S.–French naval exercise in the U.S. 2nd Fleet area of operations that underscores the commitment to interoperability, maritime readiness, and shared values. The exercise is taking place as the U.S. Navy is celebrating 250 years of warfighting excellence and securing peace and stability alongside the French Navy, setting the scene for joint amphibious operations with the U.S. Marine Corps.
