    DoD Southern Border 2025

Spc. Dakota Simmons, assigned to 41st Engineer Battalion, Joint Task Force-Southern Border(JTF-SB), conducts PMCS on a 120M Grader at Fort Bliss, Texas, May 1, 2025. The assignment of the 41st Engineer Battalion to JTF-SB provides additional engineer capabilities and equipment to the southern border mission. A 120M Graders can be used to help level roads along the southern barrier to improve Soldier and Customs and Border Patrol response time. Under the direction of U.S. Northern Command, Joint Task Force – Southern Border aligns efforts to seal the southern border and repel illegal activity and is responsible for full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations, which will allow for more effective and efficient DoD operations.
