The North Carolina Guard (NCNG) partners with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol as part of the North Carolina Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team (NCHART) to conduct training scenarios in Spruce Pines, N.C., on March 30, 2025. The NCNG conducts monthly training under the NCHART program utilizing the UH-60 Blackhawk and UH-72 Lakota to prepare for NCHART missions such as wilderness rescues, mountain rescues, and swift water/flood rescues.
