The Department of National Defense (DND) and the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) hosted DKI APCSS Professors for the two-day Karakoa Forum in Manila, Phillipines, April 25 and 28, 2025. The forum is named after the “karakoa,” reminiscent of the archipelagic Philippines’ pre-colonial warship used for sea raids and battles. DKI APCSS alumni from the DND and the NDCP collaborated to organize this inaugural forum, which targeted planners, logisticians, intelligence, operations, and strategic studies communities of the DND and its bureaus to cultivate a strategic mindset among the personnel.
