Family and friends prepare to welcome home U.S. Marines with Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA(AW)) 224 during the squadron’s final flight ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Beaufort, South Carolina, April 28, 2025. The flight concluded their return from the Weapons and Tactics Instructor course at MCAS Yuma, Arizona, and commemorated the end of VMFA(AW)-224’s operational history with the F/A-18 Hornet as the unit begins its transition to the F-35B Lightning II.
