U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Fernan P. Diamse, right, demonstrates the life-like texture of a mannequin’s skin to Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Maj. Gen. Yoshiro Oshika March 28 at the III Marine Expeditionary Force tactical medical simulation center on Camp Hansen. Sailors with 3rd Medical Battalion shared their knowledge and techniques with members of the Japan Self-Defense Force during a two-day tour that included the U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa at Camp Foster and 3rd Medical Battalion’s medical training facilities on Camps Foster, Hansen and Kinser. Oshika is the director of the Medical Department, ground staff office, JGSDF. Diamse is a corpsman with 3rd Medical Bn., Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III MEF.
