U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Allan Pepin, Commander, U.S. Army North (Fifth Army) and senior military commander for Fiesta 2025, and Command Sgt. Maj. Jerimiah Gan, Senior Enlisted Leader, U.S. Army North (Fifth Army), salute a wreath in a solemn wreath-bearing procession known as the Pilgrimage to the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas, Apr. 28, 2025. This procession departed from the Vietnam Memorial at the Tobin Center and walks silently to the Alamo in tribute to the Alamo heroes. Each service brings a wreath to present. Fiesta is known as the “Party with a Purpose” and includes events that showcase San Antonio’s rich military history and appreciation with parades, festivals, exhibits, athletic activities, music, dancing, and food.
