U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Gabriel Magruder, an aircraft rescue and firefighter, carries Lance Cpl. Landon Stahl, an expeditionary fuels technician, both with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, during a simulated emergency at Gwangju Air Base, South Korea, during exercise Freedom Flag 25-1, April 24, 2025. Marines with MWSS-171 conducted medical recovery, removal, and transfer training to sharpen their operational readiness and enhance expeditionary capabilities. FF25-1 is a military exercise between U.S. and Republic of Korea forces designed to enhance readiness through realistic and complex training scenarios.
