Dr. Larkin Kennedy, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency scientific recovery expert and forensic anthropologist, briefs recovery operations in Vietnam to Lt. Col. Maribel Ortega de Pacheco, brigade executive officer and action officer of the Oregon National Guard’s Active Guard Reserve Program, April 12, 2025. Members of the Oregon National Guard’s Active Guard Reserve Program Command team visited the DPAA Vietnam War recovery site to observe two of their soldiers assist in conducting operations. The relationships between the Vietnamese officials, DPAA Detachment 2 Vietnam and the recovery team continues to be strengthened through their partnerships as DPAA works to provide the fullest possible accounting for U.S. missing personnel to their families and the nation.
