Mazzochetti, platoon sergeant, with Guard Company 2nd Platoon, Marine Barracks Washington, uses a radio to demonstrate proper communication procedures while instructing Marines on patrolling techniques during a training exercise at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, April 22, 2025. This training exercise enabled Guard Co. Marines to rehearse effective communication, coordination, and preparation prior to movement. Marines at 8th & I conduct routine training to improve their cohesive precision, endurance and adaptability, skills that benefit the Marines on both the battlefield and parade deck.
