Erika Espeseth, chaplain’s assistant, 3rd Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Rakkasans, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), begins to paint one of 10 plexiglass windows before they’re hung in the chapel on Forward Operating Base Salerno, Afghanistan. A team of chaplain’s assistants teamed up together to finish the restoration of their chapel after it was badly damaged by an attack on the FOB in the summer of 2012.
