It was a cold day with hot lead flying, simulated lead, that is, as the 495th Combat Support Sustainment Battalion demonstrated the new Laser Shot weapons training technology to Brigadier General Renae Dorval in Kalispell, MT. This cutting edge technology allows soldiers to be trained to a higher standard, while minimizing historic costs associated with weapons training.
This modular system can be deployed almost anywhere in the state at anytime in order to facilitate unit training and readiness. With a set up time of approximately 30 minutes, this system allows soldiers to complete more training in a shorter period of time giving commanders more bang for their buck. Laser Shot includes standard military weapons qualifications, programs to build speed and accuracy, and offers joint training opportunities with our local law enforcement officers.
Not only does this new technology increase the effectiveness and lethality of our Soldiers, it promotes an environment that Soldiers find both exciting and competitive.
